Completed in 2020, Chapman Carriage House is the only new construction at Chapman House. Designed and constructed to complement the historic Chapman House, Chapman Carriage House holds all the style and charm of its historic counterpart. Chapman Carriage House is nestled in the northeast corner of the property, up an exterior flight of stairs.

At the top of the stairs, a small private landing leads into the Carriage House. Once inside, to the right is a small, fully equipped kitchen. To the left is a dining table and a separate, dedicated workspace. The contiguous living room enjoys a comfortable, cozy sofa, chair, and high-definition television. The Carriage House is furnished with a new queen bed and benefits from two walk-in closets. The bathroom has a combination shower and bathtub, and radiant heat flooring. A complimentary washer and dryer are located just downstairs from the Carriage House. Chapman Carriage House is ideally located in downtown Arcata, within a short walk to myriad restaurants, boutiques, movie theaters, music venues, Pilates and yoga studios, and organic food markets. The Arcata Community Forest (with its towering redwoods), the Arcata Marsh (with its acclaimed bird habitat, playful otters, and inspiring vistas), and Cal Poly Humboldt are also within easy walking distance, while a plethora of picturesque, dog-friendly beaches are a short drive away.
